lance could never be convinced to try out role-play again. he can admit that you giving him a lap dance and strip tease pushes him past the point of turned-on, but it becomes substantially less attractive when you’re pretending to be a random stripper and that he’s a paying customer. and, he can’t help that he finds every scenario weird or cringy. he doesn’t see the allure of the pretend-dynamic of escort/client or professor/student,  or even calling him daddy—it’s simply not for him, and he can see that his distaste for it stems from his awkward and possibly self-conscious nature. on the other hand, he’s more than satisfied with you using handcuffs to secure his hands behind his back while you make him suffer through a teasing rock of your hips; don’t say he’s under arrest, though, you’ll ruin the vibe.

9) xiu-dian in the replies found that when taking the string on HilmCC's post as Qy1jb21wZXTEq3RvcsSTcw== and decoding with base64 it comes out as "C-competītorēs". Im not certain if this is correct but its the only result that makes some amount of sense. If its correct maybe it hints at spanish speakers being in or maybe 3 players per team or something idk.

10) I was told that in January 4C hinted at something in a post that seems to be related to what this event will be.

11) @/cyjen_ figured out that the C_competitors on HiImCC's tweet was refering to C in roman numerals which is 100. So 100 players. Wadebox is saying one part of the puzzle is msising and posing rose emojis

12) LAST CLUE HAS BEEN SOLVED. People on wadebox's discord server found that the flowers in the middle connecting the images have values assigned to them in bedrock mc. These correspond to a unix timestamp giving a date and time.

My theory is that this is all hinting to some sort of event in collaboration with LegGG that the 5 worked on together. Might be flower themed. I dont think its a permanent addition to the server becuase 25 teams is too big but I might be wrong. It will be focused on pvp and will have some mechanics that involve defending and collecting stuff. The macbeth quote implies that there will be ways of stealing from other teams. The event will happen on the 10th of may at 6 pm GMT

I keep thinking about how much Kaboodle's lifesteal stream today reminded me of Euridice in act one of Hadestown. Up until now she thought that having allies might protect her, its why she's been trying to hard to make sure she and Zam have a good relationship (even if it sometimes backfires) but now that resources are so limited its harder to craft hearts and if she gets banned there is a chance that it will be impossible to bring her back.

Kaboodle is Euridice and the storm is coming, without strong allies, without a nearly foolproof plan, she might not survive. Hades (Clown in this case) makes her an offer. If she can steal enough hearts she will have his protection, its a really good deal except for the fact that she might just be sacrificing all her allies and relationships that she has been spending months developing and strengthening.

Historically the only person Kab has been willing to put before herself is Clown but I think that might be changing. I think Zam might fit in there somewhere too. But she's scared, and when ls!Kab is scared she does whatever she needs to in order to make herself feel safe again.

If she doesn't take this chance, if she doesn't put herself first this time, even if it means screwing everyone else over she feels like she would be putting herself at risk of getting permanently banned; a situation in which she would have no control, so she needs to take that control as soon as she can.

She has her principles, under normal circumstances she would be sticking to them to, ls!Kab does try to stick to a code of ethics, as fucked up and murky as it might be sometimes. The news 4cvit gave her today pulled the rug out from under her and she is terrified. At the end of the day I think they would all understand. Hate her? maybe. Resent her? sure. Try to get revenge? almost certaintly. But they all Understand.

Knockout would possibly tolerate us blaring this over his radio speakers. Soundwave would definitely blast it for us, maybe even to fuck with Knockout. (spoiler: Knockout isn't a fan of hair metal or rock of any kind in LS. this hurts my soul but it's important he's like that for Reasons:tm: I have compromised by allowing that Breakdown is so we can jam out with him)

Klignt Liebe -- I NEED SOUNDWAVE TO HEAR THIS ONE AND IT'S GONNA MAKE HIS SPARK SKIP. I don't know why I settled on this idea that Soundwave specifically loves music in all different languages but tbh it's probably just because it's easy to make sense for his character being both y'know, Soundwave and all, but also as an intelligence officer he's naturally inclined towards Knowing Other Languages And Shit.

Anyhow-- aside from the romantic message in this song in general, I think this one might just make Sounders knee's a little weak especially if he's already smitten with Butterfly by the time he hears it (he probably will be >:D), because of those little feminine gasps and moans / giggles teased into the song.

Like he'd be real into the music and then that audial soundscape detail registers as he's looking at Butterfly and-- Processor stalls. Cooling fan vents flutter open with a pomf of air. Oops.

Turbo Lover - Heh. Another song my brain goes "KNOCKOUT" but in actuality LS Knockout would hate listening to this even if he liked the lyrics on paper. Soundwave, however. Like, I remembered Rust as mostly functionally sober until the Crash episode, minus his Sophia grief drink binge, and that's just. That's so inaccurate of me. He's hot for it the instant we get him away from Marty.

Marty is actually initially pretty nice at the dinner, nice about Rust showing up while fucking trashed. He bitches Rust out for like a sentence and then reassesses. The cup of coffee, a little physical touching for anchoring, we'll try this again another time, etc.

Which is a good example of how they work--they dance--they adjust to each other.

I always remember Rust as less communicative than he actually is. Because in large stretches, he isn't communicative even when he's talkative. But he's actually very forthright, when he chooses. Like, oddly forthright--no wonder Marty backs down immediately. How can you kick that sad wet man while he's down and apologizing to you?

UNSURE if they drop their gs as often as I think they do. It took me ten years to learn to understand Southern and if I watch this show for too long, I forget that these dudes even have accents. People tend to discuss how Rust is playing Gilbough and Papania, but Marty is ABSOLUTELY performing a bit the whole time so far.

Speaking of Gilbough and Papania: Papania wants Rust to be the killer sooo bad. He's ready to fight Rust in the parking lot as is, no further questions asked.

Gilbough has such a nice smile, actually.

Rust's ties are so shittily tied. I know this is on purpose, it is a Look for the audience, it is a Characterization Choice, the way this man is undone, ramshackle except where he isn't, but I dated a lawyer for a long time so the loose tie is just. On one hand, it's a leash. Good. On the other hand, it's wrong and I know my fingers could fix it.

He does do it up nice for the press conference, however. He knows how. He just chooses not to.

Thinking about how Omega (Doctor Who) and AM (IHNMAIMS) are surprisingly similar with the exception being that Omega has true sentience and a degree of morality whereas AM is still fundamentally restricted to his coding.

They are borderline divine entities within their respective settings; Omega is literally god in the Anti-matter universe and treated as a god outside of it, AM is able to manipulate everything on the Earth’s surface and Ted thinks of him like a God.

They “grew” to have an extreme level of hate: Omega grew to hate the Time Lords for basically just abandoning him, AM grew to hate humans for all their senses and their simplicity.

They both experiment on things: Omega experimented with time, the laws of physics and willpower/stuff-that-looks-like-magic-but-isn’t and AM on the people he kept alive and probably even on the people he killed.

They are both exceptionally smart (this is a reach): Omega is by-far the smartest Time-Lord in terms of academics and practical academics and is shown to be a very good social manipulator to (though clearly not as good as Rassilon) whereas AM is so incredibly well-designed and well-made that he can give a faux illusion of reality warping by just altering a few things within his compound and he needs to know how to do this.

On their differences; Omega is pretty even on the L and W scales, whereas AM repeatedly takes Ls

Omega has a sense of morality (he tries to keep people alive, even those who are his enemies most of the time and was on multiple occasions convinced to not kill the Time Lords when he could). AM meanwhile can only feel ‘hate’ and even then that is built from his coding to be used in War.

EXO Theory Dftf (don't fight the feeling)

In this post I will try to point out and decode clues. I made some conclusions to arrange the eras in order. Let's start by analyzing the main theme.

• EXO was travelling to Exoplanet as seen in the dftf teaser pictures.

The word HISTORY is shown in several languages in the starting. The setting is similar to what we see in History mvs:

Exo evacuate EXOPLANET with the help of a spaceship. I believe that History, chronologically, happens before Dftf.

Here is Exo's Kcon Australia 2017 vcr which depicts their spacecraft was going to crash land.

The bright Exo logo at the end might be a symbolic representation of exoplanet. The spacecraft crash lands on one of the other extra terrestrial planets on which Power takes place. Notice how the exos don't have their powers in dftf which they acquire in the form of orbs in Power mv. Hence, Power happens after Dftf.

Now I'll talk about two main theories which lead to different conclusions for this section of the storyline:–

#1 The Emergency landing promo pics show them on different planets each representing the 6 members' (no Yixing🥲) powers. The album logo shows a radar locating the 9 members. It is also present in the vcr above. As part of their promotions, they released a game called EXO Ship Saga in which each mem has a different planet. The theme seems pretty straightforward: they travelled to different planets, maybe used escape-pods because they were going to crash land in the vcr above.

This theory might be able to explain the story of parallel universes as well as the ending of Power with Baek falling in an ocean.

#2 After reaching the planet shown in Power, they were scattered to different cities on Earth (Pathcodes) as comets seen in the beginning of Dftf. As of now, many of us are confused which of these happen in the chronology (they land in cities or on planets). They must have tried to evacuate it since the Red Force has come to know they are all together and have acquired their orbs. Let's go with the second theory: I believe Pathcode comes after Power.

Why? Proof: in Tao's pathcode, he was reading a newspaper and it said that 10 comets were visible near earth (ot10 era) hence they landed in different locations in Pathcodes.

The comet Kyungsoo saw in Dftf mv could be the one appearing in Let me In and explains their isolation in Sing For You.

At the end of Dftf mv, they approach a portal and there is falling snow in space?! This could be another hint that Sing For You comes later in the story and not before Dftf.

• In Ep 02. One giant leap teaser video, Kyungsoo is the only one who looks back with a robotic sound. Also, he is the only member emersed in green light in the concept pics of Dftf. Smth definitely seems off but we'll leave it at that for now.

From 2:56, they dance in the spaceship with some blinking red lights behind. These could be cctvs as I pointed out in Rover (mini theory) and Obsession. In this era too they are under surveillance.

• SM included easter eggs from previous releases (code numbers) which means a lot as the group has matured artistically alongwith more involvement in production and shares a great bond with their fans (releasing this album for EXO-Ls with Yixing🐑 during the drought❣️).

There were other things I wanted to discuss but due to the confusing timeline I tried my best understanding plot holes. This mv is undoubtedly connected to many others and with the possibility of parallel universes, it has become complex.

barely! real life + work + some very unfortunate circumstances have been kicking my ass as of late so I haven't had as much time as I'd've liked to write. I'm also just. the LEAST social media inclined person of all time lol and am not exactly used to engagement on a broader scale, my main account has 4 followers and that's Fine By Me

anyway! I'm hoping things settle and I stop taking so many massive Ls soon so that I CAN focus on writing. chapter 2 is HEFTY, currently sitting at around 50+ pages and counting, and there is a LOT I still need to get through.

Addressing Sonic's Moral Code Part 3

So, with all that being said it does seem like Sonic's Moral Code just doesn't work. In fact is old video game rival Mario is far better at the restorative justice thing than Sonic. Mario has befriended and made peace with several former villains, and Sonic does hasn't seemed to have done it for even one.

Also, I agree with people's sentiments about what Sonic told Shadow which is why it obviously isn't included as an example, plus Amy was the one who helped Shadow out there.

So it seems like all Sonic has is Ls, well there is an example of his Moral Code actually working? During the Scrapnik Island Mini Series which apparently takes place after both the Metal Virus and what went down with Surge, Sonic meets Mecha Sonic again. The Scrapnik Mecha Sonic alongside many other Badniks are on Scrapnik island all having moved past their old programming and are trying to just live life. Mecha Sonic at one point has his old programming kicks in and he tries to takeover Sonic's mind and take revenge on Eggman and in the process hurts his Scrapnik friends. But eventually he comes back to his senses and tries to give up but Sonic convinces him to continue and the Scrapniks forgive Mecha Sonic. Thus Mecha Sonic becomes completely free of his original programming and showing what Sonic is doing does work. I would note that while Metal Sonic doesn't break free of this programming, Mecha Sonic is able to, and in addition Mecha Sonic has because became a canon version of Shard.

The makeshift cell has a steel table and chair—like in old detective films. He reconfigured the room lock with a passkey only he knows, though he doesn't know how to turn off its failsafe.

With a shudder in the station, the lights turn off for a moment, and a different set of colder lights take their place, dimly. I walk through the now-unlocked door and into the hallway outside. A wall panel confirms my fears.

He's scared. Worse than that, he's scared and paranoid. Pablo has the fear from another life of destruction and bloodshed in him. Maybe it's warranted—I couldn't say. Only he knows his past.

Out in the next sector I finally see someone. Two new guys, lazing on some hallway chairs.

"Anna!" One of them says brightly.

"Good evenin'," I float back.

"Quite hot in here?"

"Aye," I say tersely "A waste reactor's nearby. Makes heat. Ventilation won't be turned on 'till someone turns it on."

"Then who will?" The other man says, daftly.

"We don't waste power on climate control when there's a big hole in the ship."

Another pause, the two men look at each other. It's possible they have thoughts going through their heads, though that's difficult to confirm.

"Aren't you two supposed to be working this emergency?"

"Haven't got an assignment yet," One of them replies whilst the other is still taken aback by my question, almost falling off his chair. A moment, then he too regains his composure.

"Keep your pagers out, lads," I bark, wanting to laugh. I puff my chest and walk with intent, into the next room.

I enter my quarters to the right; a modest room, yet a little more spacious than most. To my left, a workbench with some parts scattered around a broken network module, and my PDA.

No rest for me. I grab my toolbag from the foot of my bed and run to a utility closet in the hallway. The reserve welding cart creaks from disuse as I roll it toward me, yet it still seems to work just the same. I dust off some goggles and shove them in a pocket as I make for Carol.

Eventually, I arrive at central processing, winded from running with so much stuff. Carol is buried deep in her assistant, probably typing out one communication after another.

"God, this thing is so slow!"

"I'm here..?"

"Yes. Hi, Anna," she finishes another message before she finally looks up, "Let's fix this thing so I'm not stuck on peer to peer."

She moves to the wall, which holds an impressive array of cooling pipes and circuits. Indicator lights flash off and on erratically whilst a monitor spits out warning after warning. At the far end, away from the corner where she started, there is a series of busted conduits supposed to hold thick cable against a hastily repaired wall.

"Here, where the cables go into this contactor array."

She pries the panel off the array's enclosure and exposes a beautiful mess of small, printed traces and goliath cables interfacing with one another. The leftmost portion of this box has severed wire and shattered boards.

"I isolated this module from the rest of the processor. And there's no voltage through the cables." She hands me a drawing and walks to an electrical cart. "Just replace the broken components. It doesn't have to be pretty." The cart, being twice the size of mine, is filled with wires of all gauges, components of all kinds, a work surface with a solderer, and has board printing capabilities. "All the files you might need are on that printer."

"Got it," I reply.

She looks back to her PDA and her eyes betray her exasperation, briefly. "I'll be back in a few to turn it on and debug," she shouts whilst having one foot already out the door. I grab a screwdriver and begin to pull away at the broken components. When they don't budge, I pull out the angle grinder. Rinse and repeat.

At least I have a simple life...

So... as far as 'canon ships' I think??? I think????? the only 'canon' one in my fic is Breakdown x Knockout, who have an established relationship in some continuities and in some of them are actually conjunxed (aka Spark-bonded aka married-but-with-cool-eldritch-alien-space-science-magic)

How I build the lore for my worlds is honestly, just... taking the best pieces i like from all the other media I've consumed. It's like taking apart thirty puzzles, mixing all the pieces together, then assembling a completely brand new puzzle from some of those pieces.

I spend a lot of time just browsing the Transformers Wiki, reading lore on characters in all their different media appearances. When I say I mix lore like there's no tomorrow-- I mean it. I reference Bayverse, video games, Transformers Prime, Transformers Armada, Shattered Glass, IDW, and the list goes on and on and on and sometimes I don't even remember what continuitiy I learned a lore detail in.

I also cannot, factually, tell you what is canon and what is fanon most times because I... can't tell most times XD I kinda love how flex and diverse the TF fandom is in that regards. I'll pick up ideas about characters reading other fics and just assume it's canon and then get shocked years later when I learn it was not, in fact, ever canon but BOY IT SURE COULD BE

So.... for an actual -lore drop- here's some ramblings I have, in no particular order;

(rambles and possible spoilers below the cut)

Star of the Show:

I write a -very- different version of Starscream in SOTS than in GOK or LS. He's primarily based off of Armada-- the main cartoon series I grew up with as a kid, and my favorite rendition of him. I adore him in *every* continuity because I find him such a fascinating character and so very interesting for plot, and revealing of Megatron.

The type of Starscream we get often goes directly linked with the type of Megatron, because those two are often so interconnected.

Star of the Show is the first Big Long TF book I ever wrote, one that I started all the way back in 2018 and then after a Big Break I then resumed writing and basically threw out all of my original plot outline, except for "Starscream meets the MC by kidnapping her" in classic Decepticon fashion.

Nearly every concept I'm exploring in GOK and LS, I first 'practiced' in SOTS-- I really wanted to figure out how the 'bots worked and I'm still figuring that out honestly xD but I loooooove playing with the holo-avatars!

I cemented a few lore things about them in SOTS that I directly ripped out of hte story to apply to GOK and LS's world settings, too;

• There are different kinds of Hologram projections, and each one has benefits and cons and different difficulties associated with it.

• Holograms are the safest... but also the most easily busted. They're empty light projections. No solid substance, won't hurt the 'bot projecting them if you hit it (though I like to think a short-circuit done in a certain way could cause some whiplash or circuitry singing). There's no life or consciousness woven into the code linking hologram and mech.

• Holo' forms (Hologram Forms) are the middleground between a hologram, and a Holo Avatar. They have a little more substance, and they carry the consciousness of the mech using them with a live link between Holo-form and 'bot. Hurting these could cause harm to the mech, but most likely it'll just ya-yeet them back to their own body full-focus. They retain some of their focus and depending on their skill of multitasking, much of their self-awareness, of their main protoform while using the Holo-form. They get limited sensorial details this way-- mostly, just visual and audio feedback.

• Holo' Av' (Hologram Avatar, or Holo' Avatar) are the most risky, and the most complex option. In my world setting, not every bot can even make and use a Holo' Av'. I went with lore going that Seekers in fact are naturally inclined for this, with rare exception, and it's as natural to them as breathing to swap between forms. Particualrly for a Seeker who is cold constructed... like Starscream.

He needs his Holo' Av' so he can interact with controls and mods installed in his frame and accessed via -- you mighta guessed it ;D -- his cockpit. I wanted a reason for Cybertronians to have these parts on their bodies *before* ever visiting Earth and picking up alt modes, and I got charmed by the idea [actually based off and inspired by the TFP alt mode interiors that showed very not-normal interiors for their human-vehicle-disguises, which made me wonder if they actually had like, configurations with say a Minicon in mind or something).

So, I have a LOT of fun deciding which 'bots can use a hologram / form / avatar and how good at it they are.

I like to think Knockout is one of the most talented non-flight-coded-Sparked mechs at utilizing a Holo' Av', on account of his penchant and curiosity about art and life. I like to think he spent a lot of time wandering earth stores and being a general nuisance and breaking hearts (quite cluelessly, most times) as he stole tactile information for creating the code templates for editing human holograms/forms/avatars XD he's my art geek in every story, and I thought that'd be a cool niche talent for him to use his artistic abilities in a decidedly useful and strategic way-- aka he's extremely valuable to the Decepticons, being an artist. FUCK YEAH.

Breakdown? Hates using them, isn't comfortable with them, *can* do it but hates it so never practices unless under duress or forced to, and he's not very good at it as a result. Poor animation detail and very prone to glitching out from the very fact he's mentally always trying to 'pull back' from the discomfort.

Soundwave? Not neccessarily comfortable with it due to security concerns, but as a Seeker and as a master of espionage, he's extremely used to it and it comes naturally to him, at least in GOK and LS. I... haven't decided for SOTS, yet, honestly :eyes:

Gladiators of Kaon:

Okay. So. *This* story out of all my TF fics, is probably my best example of writing hands-down and the one I am most proud of for that. There's something about this story that's just... idk, it's special. Maybe because I didn't actually plan a single fucking thing when I sat down to write it; all I knew was that I needed to get to know specifically Megatron and Soundwave (at first!!) was a bonus character I also needed to learn and get to know, before I began writing them in-depth in book two of Star of the Show, because that book will be almost entirely Decepticon focused instead of the Autobot focus of the first book.

And SOTS has very different cast of characters despite many similarities :'D deeefinitely different world settings

but... this is still helping me get to know the characters overall, so I digress--

--So here's some fun GOK trivia!

• Originally? We weren't going to see the story from the POV of Lightshow reminiscing and daydreaming, overlooking the city of Kaon from her apartment.

We were originally going to see the story, as I was writing the first little intro sentences... from teh perspective of a Cybertronian drunk hyped up on Syk, that had been dragged out of the Gear Winder by Lightshow.

Then I decided that the MC being a Syk addict and that being the large driving factor of how they wind up in the position of a Gladiator would be much too depressing for a story already set in an extremely depressing dystopian world setting, and I swapped perspectives to the waitress, instead... and from that point on, Lightshow became the MC.

• I'm a total fraud who writes by the seat of her pants and wings it and just keeps meticulous notes so I hopefully don't mix details and storylines up as i braid all these lives together in one overarching story :D *I* didn't even know what Lightshow's alt modes were -- or even her name, come to think of it! -- until the scenes in which they were revealed. I had originally gone in with the idea that Lightshow's alt mode would be a kind of Cybertronian music boom-box on wheels, like heavy duty sound equipment. Basically, she was originally going to be an oversized Minicon who could link up with Soundwave to give his sonic powers a major boost + she could dock the Cassetticons if he wasn't available to do so.

I decided that didn't quite fit, didn't feel right, felt 'too easy' and obvious, and i honestly don't even remember when I got the idea for her to have an alt mode as a sword.... but once I did, I Could Not Let It Go. And honestly, it's my favorite plot detail. It's given me SO MANY ideas of what to do with the story and what could happen, just from that one little detail alone and just. *chef's kiss* Mua. I love my violent glow-bug lady.

She's a triple changer for a few reasons, even though I originally railed against that idea because I was terrified of her being "too special snowflake" with all these extra-special weird features like her excessive bio-lights and glitches.

The first is... because I already described her in all the chapters leading up to her first surgery, as having wheels on her shoulders. And I promptly went "FUCK. SWORDS DON'T HAVE WHEELS AND EVEN I CAN'T MAKE THAT SOUND RIGHT WITH MY DEGREE IN BULLSHITTING. FUUUUCK."

But I -really- wanted sword mode girlfriend for Megs and Soundwave and all the glorious complications it would cause

and... it so perfectly tied in with the -other- lore tidbits I was / am still toying with, so I said "fuck it this is my story WE DOING THIS" and so it happened :D (Ratchet is still glaring at me. I do not care.)

• We weren't supposed to get to see Soundwave's face for like. For AGES. I wanted him to be totally hidden in that way from Lightshow for reasons I honestly no longer even remember because this worked so naturally and felt so right, I just went with it.

• Everyone is fixated on Megatronus' smirk and they are absolutely right that he is plotting things. Mostly, how fast he can get Lightshow bent over and squealing until her vox mutes itself to keep her speaker from blowing out. Dude is only pretending to be patient. He is So Wound Up.

• I have no idea who Nova is. But she's persistent in showing up in my TF fics, I can see her So Fucking Clearly, and all she's willing to reveal is that she is crucial to the overall world-plot and political side of things and dammit lady TELL ME WHAT YOUR PLANS ARE REEEE--

(if you couldn't tell, I make my stories up as I go :D I keep key events and an end goal in mind to direct where i drive, but... i ain't actually sure wtf roads imma drive on just that i need to turn left at the next intersection :D)

Leaking Spark

This story... this one is, mostly, pure comfort and fucking around for the fun of it for me. This is the story I write when I am brain tired or depressed or need a giggle or comfort or in general, don't have to think too hard about plotline and consistency issues; I give myself a break with this one, basically. I still aim to write at a high quality level, but I don't sweat the details quuuiiiite so much as I do in Gladiators of Kaon. I think part of that is they're such *different* stories from each other, and GOK is so much more serious and dark, violently injected with comedy and romance and smut to make the heavy shit bearable.

Leaking Spark is my fun playground where we get to be silly, laugh a lot, and do dorky things like spend a whole chapter doing nothing more plot progressive than painting Knockout's armor which I SWEAR actually DOES count as plot. >:D

Some fun trivia:

• I originally began the document, "Leaking Spark," with the intentions of writing a Soundwave smut scene. I still have not written this scene and instead Knockout edged me for like. Okay he's still edging all of us and I am going to threaten his paintjob again if he don't LET ME STEER THE SCENE DIRECTION AT LEAST *SOMETIMES* JFC [MC was supposed to get laid in book one. We're on book two and i'm still crawling, parched, towards the oasis that is the chapter I started writing where we get to destroy a kitchen with Knockout I mean what]

• A lot of people think Butterfly isn't human which honestly entertains the shit out of me. Many of her sensory struggles are directly inspired by my own, or friends' of mine, struggles-- I myself have extremely sensitive hearing, which is about as fun as Butterfly explains it to be. You hear a lot... but it also means when there's too much to hear, you just hear Sound Soup and then you miss hearing things in it.

(actually, come to think of it, yeah; all my MCs and many of my characters have weird glitches and the like because it's one of the ways I explore and deal with and cope with my own quirks xD Lightshow's left audial cutting out all the time, actually drew my attention to the fact that's what my ear does to me. I was subconsciously projecting onto her lmfao. It's so normal I just. Didn't consciously pay attention to it? But now I recognize the pattern. That's some crazy reverse immersion shit or something, yo.)

• Butterfly and Jack are both, very slowly, mutating due to their specific encounters with direct Energon contact and exposure :> You know how humans have this awesome trait where we are stupid around an unsafe material until someone figures out "oh hey maybe we shouldn't stand next to the radioactive stuff 24/7 and like, maybe put a shield between us and it"? yeah I'm playing with that concept hard.

I am 10000000% open to ideas on how that'll go because honestly i have SO MANY IDEAS and none of them cemented but for a very few small details (of which -those- i'll keep close to my chest, for now ;) muauahhahaAAA--)

• Lazerbeak wasn't supposed to be able to total-mass-displace due to her frame reconstructions. This is a fact I went with for basically every other bot ever as a reason why they -couldn't- perform the feat anymore, if they ever could. (I like to headcanon that all bots can partial mass displace... but not all of them can total mass displace proportionally down super super super small like Soundwave can). However, Beaky both a) threatened to tantrum and usurp my entire storyline if I forbade her this and b) fucking did it before I even caught up to the fact it was an inconsistency in my own lore headcanons.

I do not care. We get Beaky on our Seaty and wing flappy bird cuddles. FIGHT ME IT STAYS. *clings to the lore flaw like the precious thing it is*

• Neighbor Bob was a throw-away name for a neighbor who was supposed to be mentioned exactly once, perhaps twice.

Neighbor Bob had other plans and that nosy ass mfer wormed his way into both my story and my heart and I adore teh shit out of him.

However, because he was meant to originally be a once-and-done NPC as it were, I purposefully left his description on certain details vague so as to allow a reader to project what their most natural vision of a kind elderly old nosey neighbor would look like with his personality. Because of that, he is actually oen of the most interesting characters on a meta level for me to write, because I have to keep in mind something akin to the reader-MC-insert's perspective on describing things while leaving certain details unmentioned or only implied...

I've never (as far as I know, and if I have TELL ME SO I CAN REMOVE IT REEEEE) described his skin color, or eye color, just the qualities of their sparkle and his smile and bwauuuuuhhh I LOVE MY LITTLE OLD MAN HE'S A PRECIOUS BEAN.

Yolanda was inspired because i wanted to write something I rarely see represented in fics I read? that America is Fucking Full Of So Many Cultures. It's a mixing pot. Every household is wildly different from the other household and certainly between towns. I can't tell you how many interesting homes i've been in over the years of my life from familes who were two wildly different cultures and heritages that joined together, or just lived a different kind of life from my own.

I really didn't want to do the classic shallow empty american suburb dynamic. So we got a household full of color and life and art and mmmmm an excuse for me to write about FOOD because I fucking LOVE FOOD and Yolanda's house smells so amazing to me in my head. Spices and flowers and delicate herbs and just... mmmmmm. The weight of decades of cooking, all a beautiful purfume upon the air in her home.

• Soundwave was originally supposed to have cameras all over the household and property in book one, that would cause Hilarious Problems (and also some very serious ones) and also inspire him to get a crush on Butterfly. Basically, my horny thirsting self was originally going to write the trashiest smuttiest fiction and instead we got this super thoughtful bastard who isn't even self-aware (yet >:D he's very close though~ h e h~) he finds the MC attractive as more than just friend material.

Originally, I wrote that scene because it was setting up for one of the mechs to be embarrassedly aroused by walking into the bathroom and just. Casually seeing a row of beautifully sculpted and colored silicone monster-alien fantasy dicks lined up on the shower shelf. This is still going to happen. Someday. I need it to.

I'm not mad about the story taking a longer and more serious turn of things, though, as much as I theatrically whine about it taking forever to get to Knockout's smut scene. Honestly? I love where the story has gone instead and as exciting as those original ideas were.... I like this more 'realistic' approach I've taken to this story. Plus, just because I haven't used these plot devices yet, doesn't mean they can't show up later >:) mr.Sounders, after all, is going to want to make sure his human friend stays safe...

• I have no idea how Megatronus is going to react to realizing his bestie / old berth buddy is in love with a human. All I know is that I require Lightshow to ensure Butterfly does not die. Also Shockwave. Why him, I do not know, but apparently I need him, too, to make sure Life Still Loves Us.

• There is... probably going to be one, maybe two, major character deaths in the far future of the book. I haven't put this in teh story tags yet because I haven't -cemented- this as I'm genuinely uncertain if it will happen or if it'll not, because it all depends on... many, many factors, and so much can change between now and the point at which I have to make those decisions. I can say, it won't be any of the main love interests (aka Megs, Sounders, Lightshow, Butterfly, Knockout, Breakdown). If I -do- decide that someone is gonna have their ending told in my books, however, I have decided that I will post a forewarning about it that links to the character's picture / name, so people can decide whether or not to click the link and have that spoiled for them. (because dammit I don't wanna blindside someone with it ;-; g r i e f)

Soundwave's Cassetticons are going to rejoin the story eventually, and I am SO FUCKING EXCITED FOR IT. I NEED THEIR HAPPY CHAOS AND I NEED RUMBLE AND FRENZY TO LEARN TO BE GENTLE SO THEY DON'T BREAK THEIR NEW HUMAN FRIEND.

Which do you think would be more interesting?

Butterfly finding the Casseticons while she's separated from her alien friends during a trip to Cybertron.... or finding them scattered around Earth like Iacon relics?

(no guarantees i'll use ideas given, but i welcome brainstorming! I'm still plotting out how they enter the story, but I do know.... they don't get to meet Soundwave first. They get to meet *Butterfly* first :D"
